How To Find The Globe

Hanslope is situated in the centre of a triangle between Milton Keynes, Northampton and Newport Pagnell. The Globe is just a 20 minute drive from the centre of any of these towns. To find us:

From the M1 Northbound:
Exit at junction 14 and drive past the Landrover garage into Newport Pagnell. Turn right at the mini roundabout into the main High Street and drive out of town and through the village of Gayhurst. Turn left as you exit Gayhurst and drive through Tatthall End and on into Hanslope. Turn right in Hanslope and drive through the village and out on the Hartwell Road. You will find us on your right just under a mile outside the village.

From the M1 Southbound:
Exit at Junction 15, go around the double roundabout and head for Stony Stratford on the A508. Turn left as you enter the village of Roade and follow signs to Hartwell. Turn Right in Hartwell onto the Hanslope Road. Pass the Rose & Crown (quickly) and out of the village. You will find us on the left after a mile and a half.

From the A5:
Take the A508 from the Stony Stratford roundabout, just North of Milton Keynes on the A5 (the Little Chef is a roundabout landmark). Take the 2nd right after a mile, signposted to Cosgrove and Castlethorpe. Turn left after 100 yards and drive past the Navigation pub and through Castlethorpe’s traffic calming chicanes. Turn left at the green island and drive on into Hanslope. Turn left at the Watts Arms and you will find us in just under a mile on the right hand side.

Landmark: Hanslope Church has the tallest spire in Buckinghamshire: I can vouch for it, having joined in the biannual abseil down its east face

We are situated just 2.6 miles from the spectacular Treetop Walk in Salcey Forest. This is well worth a visit, although the trees do obscure the view of the Globe.
We are on the National Cycle Route.
We are also just a mile and a half from the renowned Milton Keynes Equestrian Centre. We welcome horseboxes and trailers. Jenny & John both have equestrian backgrounds, as do many of our occasional staff and customers. We will go as far as we can to accommodate you.
We are a proper country inn and we don’t frown on wellies boots in our Public Bar. We host many formal and informal shooting parties. Dogs are welcome in the Public Bar and Butterfly lounge but we ask owners to ensure that their dogs don’t create a nuisance to others. If your dog makes a mess, you will find the janitorial cupboard in the lobby to the gentlemen’s convenience.
There is plenty of B&B provision on farms in the village and we are always happy to assist in arranging accommodation for our customers, prior to being able to offer our own facility, or when we have our facility and are fully booked. If you would prefer to stay on a farm we will still be happy to give you contacts, even when we are offering accommodation.
